Here at Northampton Golf Club, our Team of PGA Coaches led by England National putting coach Nick Soto, are dedicated coaches driven to helping improve golfers of all different abilities, from beginners and club golfers to elite amateurs and professionals.

Our team of PGA Professionals are proud to offer a great range of coaching services from specialist putting coaching to beginner and junior academy group sessions. They aim to create an environment where players of all abilities can work towards achieving their full potential. 

Whether you are an ambitious golfer of any ability wanting to improve, an elite amateur or tour professional, our team deliver a wide variety of services that cater to all golfers.

Our team use Sam Putting Lab, Capto, HackMotion, Foresight GC3 Launch monitor and CoachNow to deliver their coaching. With the use of technology and all of their qualifications, the team aim to deliver elite coaching to all clients.

Nick Soto - Head PGA Professional

Nick is a PGA Qualified coach with 20 years coaching experience. He has specialised in putting coaching for nearly 10 years and is coach to numerous Tour Professionals and Elite Amateurs. He is also lead national putting coach and works with the England Men’s, Women’s, Boys and Girls Squads.

Dan Wood - PGA Professional

Dan is a PGA Qualified coach with over 13 years experience. He is a County Putting Coach to the Northamptonshire, Leicestershire & Warwickshire Teams and works with players of all abilities from Professionals to Beginners. He works alongside Putting specialist Nick Soto delivering Putting coaching & Putter fitting.  He is Foresight, SAM Putt Lab & Club Fitting certified and is trained in Vertex, Capto, V1 Analysis and Hackmotion.

Paul Hodgkiss - PGA Professional

Paul is a detail-oriented PGA Qualified coach with excellent communication, interpersonal, and creative thinking skills with over 9 years of experience in coaching golfers of all skill levels. Adept at providing tailored coaching experiences, i have developed a reputaton for building strong relationships with clients, helping them reach their full potential. I am skilled in using a variety of coaching tools, including Foresight GC3 launch monitor and Hackmotion wrist sensor, aiming to deliver an enjoyable and effective learning experience for all clients.

Henry Edwards - PGA Assistant Professional

Henry is our PGA Assistant Professional who joined us in May 2022, prior to this he had been Junior Captain at Northampton Golf Club in 2020.  He has completed his year of his Foundation Degree in Professional Golf Studies with the Professional Golfers Association and University of Birmingham and graduates to full membership later this year. He offers a wide variety of coaching services, from group sessions to individual lessons for golfers of all abilities. Henry also leads the Junior Coaching  and Junior academy at NGC, running 4 junior groups over the weekends as well as Junior Camps during school holidays.
